Wanda Sykes Makes Comments About Trump On Stage, Doesn’t Anticipate Reaction (Video)

Comedian Wanda Sykes was booed off stage during a recent performance in Boston, Massachusetts. In the video below, Sykes is seen calling out president-elect Donald Trump, which immediately elicits a response from the audience.

According to the Smoke Room, the performance was at a Boston fundraiser.

“After the election, I was going around consoling people,” Sykes said. “I said, ‘Guys, look on the bright side. I was telling everybody, ‘It’s OK. It’s gonna be OK.’ I am certain this is not the first time we’ve elected a racist, sexist, homophobic president. He ain’t the first one, he’s just the first confirmed one.”

At that point, members of the audience began to boo Sykes.

“Fuck you, motherfuckers,” Sykes shouted back at the crowd. “Fuck all y’all. Fuck all y’all. Fuck you, you, you, you you you. All y’all. …How can you say he’s not? The evidence is there. How can you say he’s not racist? Grab her by the pussy? How can you say he’s not sexist?”

Sykes then left the stage.

Sykes, who is an African-American woman and gay, has called out Donald Trump before.

“What the fuck happened to the Republicans?” Sykes said during a recent stand-up special, reports the Daily Beast. “I have never, in my life, watched a presidential debate and had the thought cross my mind, ‘Is he about to take out his dick?’”

In an interview with the online magazine, Sykes responded to a question about any surprise that Trump supporters attend her shows.

“No, I’m not. I mean, my audience is pretty diverse,” Sykes said.

She continued:

There’s a lot of Republicans who come to my shows, but most of them are like-minded where they’re like, “I can’t even vote for this guy either. This guy’s an idiot.” But I think there’s people in my audience who like me from The New Adventures of Old Christine, so sometimes it’s their first time coming to see the show so they expect [my character] Barb. And Barb is funny and she gets along with everyone and she’s a nice, gentle black woman with all white friends. So I think that’s what they expect and they don’t get that. And then you pour on top of that, now she’s talking about the guy who I want to be president? That could fire them up I guess.
