President-elect Donald Trump continues to meet with candidates as he assembles his incoming Cabinet. Among his potential picks for secretary of the Department of Homeland Security is Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach.

Kobach, who was also rumored to be under consideration for attorney general, met with Trump on Nov. 20, according to the Daily Mail. Before the meeting, Trump and Korbach posed for a picture. In Korbach’s grasp, and accidently exposed to photographers, is a list of his policy proposals for the DHS, should he be selected.

“Department of Homeland Security / Kobach Strategic Plan For First 365 Days,” the document is titled. It contains such key points as, “reduce intake of Syrian refugees to zero, using authority under the 1980 Refugee Act,” “ICE guidance memoranda adopted by Obama Administration; issue new guidance … [to redefine] ‘criminal alien’ as any alien arrested for any crime, and any gang member,” and “in addition to the 386 miles of existing actual wall within … entire 1,989 miles planned for rapid build.”

But to say the media attention on the accidental leak was unwanted runs counter to Trump’s style.

“This has been a year and election cycle where the normal conventions and past history has been challenged,” Kevin Madden, a Republican strategist and advisor to former nominee Mitt Romney — who recently met with Trump — told The New York Times. “Why would the transition and the first few months of the administration be any different? …Trump does things Trump’s way.”

Trump has continued to live-tweet his Cabinet selection meetings, turning the process into something of a show.

“Very organized process taking place as I decide on Cabinet and many other positions,” Trump tweeted on Nov. 15. “I am the only one who knows who the finalists are!”

On Nov. 17, Trump tweeted, “My transition team, which is working long hours and doing a fantastic job, will be seeing many great candidates today. #MAGA”
