Two topless women have been arrested after causing a disturbance at a New York City polling center the morning of Nov. 8, election day (video below).
Tiffany Robson, 28, from Seattle, Washington, and Neda Topaloski, 30, of Montreal, Canada, showed their dislike for Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump by removing their tops and shouting inside a polling center just before 9 a.m., the New York Post reports.
The scene was captured by Sharon Clott Kanter, People Magazine’s deputy style director, on her cell phone. She then shared the video on Twitter.
“Protest inside polling station where Trump votes. Two women arrested,” Kanter tweeted with the video.
In the video, the two women are seen moving through the crowd topless and screaming, “Get your balls out of our polls!” police said, according to the New York Post.
At one point in the video, it sounds like the women scream, “Trump, grab your balls!”
A photo captured of one of the women shows that she had the same phrase painted across her chest.
On the other woman’s back is “OlO FEMEN USA,” which may mean that they are part of Femen, a protest group that describes itself as an “international women’s movement of brave topless female activists painted with the slogans and crowned with flowers,” according to The Telegraph.
Femen is known for staging topless protests against sexual exploitation, dictatorship, and religion.
The women were not arrested for being topless, since it is not a crime in New York, but they were arrested for electioneering within 100 feet of a polling station.
They were taken to the police station and were expected to be given a summons before being released.
Trump did vote at the polling station later in the morning, after the women had been removed.
