President-elect Donald Trump may appoint former reality show “Apprentice” contestant Omarosa Manigault to work alongside him.
The speculation was fueled after 42-year-old reality television star’s remarks shortly after Trump won the election, the Hollywood Reporter reports.
“I was literally just standing next to him on the stage and just bawling,” she said. “I don’t remember a word he said. We were live on air. I just remember Mr. Trump saying to me, ‘Are you ready? Are you ready to come with me to Washington?'”
But Manigault added there was no discussion of “titles, positions or appointments” just yet.
Manigault continued, praising Trump over the way he handled his victory.
“He was so not focused on himself,” she said. “He got all his family business sorted. He addressed his supporters. He was still in Trump mode! Just a businessman in the private sector, rattling off a list of things that needed to get done that night.”
It isn’t her first statement to capture national attention.
Manigault delivered an ominous warning that the Trump campaign was keeping a list of its enemies, the Independent Journal reports.
“Let me just tell you, Mr. Trump has a long memory and we’re keeping a list,” she said. “It’s so great our enemies are making themselves clear so that when we get into the White House, we know where we stand.”
Later, Manigault clarified, saying she was specifically responding to Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina, who had criticized Trump and refused to vote for him on Nov. 8.
“Donald Trump won’t soon forget how Graham failed to fight with him to achieve his vision and ultimately his betrayal,” she said. “How could Graham squander this opportunity and not support an effort to make the country great again? Then he announced his vote [for independent candidate Evan McMullin] for president. Just throwing it in Mr. Trump’s face. Pretty brazen. You don’t forget that.”
