She also shared the picture on Instagram.

Earlier on Feb. 13, Ivanka sat in on a meeting with her father, Trudeau and other world leaders at the Canada-United States Council for Advancement of Women Entrepreneurs and Business Leaders. Ivanka supports the empowerment of women in job creation and economic growth, Inquisitr reports.

The celebrity woman considers the cause as one of her favorites.

“A great discussion with two world leaders about the importance of women having a seat at the table!” Ivanka wrote in the caption of the photo.

The picture has triggered both positive and negative reactions from social media users.

“The Oval Office should not be a prop for the president’s daughter,” reads one tweet.

“You have no business in the White House,” posted another user, CBS News reports. “Our country is not run on nepotism.”

“Really, you shouldn’t be sitting in that chair. It’s reserved for the President of the United States. And I thought you were the smart one,” reads another tweet.

However, many were happy to see the picture of Ivanka sitting at the Oval Office desk.

“Rise above all of the negativity and just do your thing. Go girl go! So proud of you,” one user wrote.

“Beautiful photo with a proud dad and intelligent daughter!” said another follower.

“If you run for President, you have my vote,” reads yet another tweet.

Ivanka is a first daughter with some margin of power considering her father is the president of the United State and her husband, Jared Kushner, is a senior adviser in the administration. She attended a meeting her father held with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe at Trump Tower just ahead of the inauguration this year.

It is clear that her presence during meetings with foreign leaders will be a matter of routine in the coming years of the Trump administration.

The first daughter is an active poster on Instagram and Twitter. Lately, she has published photos of her activities in the White House and around Washington, D.C.

She was recently criticized for posting a picture of herself and her husband getting ready for a night out on the town when protests over her father’s travel ban were taking place across the country. Many believed she displayed insensitivity with that post.
