Doctors Horrified When Baby Is Born With No Brain Then They See..

A boy from Northwest England is shocking doctors around the world after learning how to count despite being born with a condition that destroyed 98 percent of his brain.

Noah Wall developed a rare condition in the womb known as hydrocephalus, according to the Daily Mail. A build-up of fluid pushed his brain against the wall of his skull, damaging all but two percent of the tissue.

Doctors believed that the pregnancy would not be completed to term, and Noah’s parents began choosing a coffin for their unborn son. However, to all their surprise, Shelly Wall, 44, had a successful delivery in March 2012 and Noah not only survived, but began regrowing parts of his brain.

Now, at 4 years of age, Noah can count to 10 and trace the letters of his name.

“He teaches the medical profession that you can’t ever know,” said neurosurgeon Dr. Claire Nicholson to The Sun.

Noah’s parents are entirely dedicated to teaching Noah how to speak, write and count. They are amazed at his progress as the boy couldn’t even recognize numbers just nine months ago.

“He has been chatting so much more and pronouncing his words,” said Shelly. “He has started writing, he can follow my finger and write his name. You can see the excitement, and he knows that he had done something amazing … he amazes us everyday.”

Noah still is plagued with a number of health issues as he was also diagnosed with spina bifida, a condition that prevents the spine from properly developing. He has already had a major surgery on his hips to align his posture, and the Daily Mail reports that he will have to undergo more if he is to ever walk.

His parents are doing everything in their power to see Noah take his first steps. They are certain that Noah will grow up to be a happy, well-adjusted adult and maybe even fulfill his dreams of becoming a firefighter.

“It just proves nothing is impossible, you can achieve whatever you want to in life you just have to be determined to do it,” said Shelly.
