Over the last several months, there has been a lot of debate over sanctuary cities. The majority of the American people are sick of cities around the country harboring illegal immigrants. It makes no sense to the average American that illegals are allowed to hide in cities to escape deportation. During President Trump’s campaign, he promised that he would do his best to put an end to the madness, and he is keeping his promises.
After Trump was sworn in as our 45th president he penned an executive order that would halt federal funding to these sanctuary cities. Instead of these cities following through and ending this unconstitutional practice they asked the 9th Circuit Court to stop Trump’s order. Of course, the liberal judges of the 9th district temporarily won their case, but Trump is not backing down. However, there is a new threat coming from Dearborn, Michigan that could change the landscape of the state forever.
Dr. Abdul El-Sayed is a liberal Democrat and is vying to be the nation’s first Muslim Governor of the state of Michigan. Now as you know Michigan is home to the city of Dearborn, which has the highest Muslim population outside of the Middle East. However, while it is frightening that El-Sayed in itself desires to be governor it is what he is proposing that is terrifying.
We are already aware that we are at war with radical Islam and illegal immigrants. So, for El-Sayed to propose making Michigan a “Sanctuary State” it causes me and many others to be leery. Here is what El-Sayed recently about his religion in an interview.
Here is what El-Sayed recently about his religion in an interview.
“My faith is really important to me, as it is for many Americans and Michiganders,” El-Sayed said. “But I think we should be asking ourselves rather than how one prays, or what they pray to, we should ask ourselves what [one] prays for and what one hopes for.”
As you may have noticed, El-Sayed says that his Islamic faith is really important to him. But, he wants the people of Michigan to know that his work as a civil servant is his first priority. However, I am not too sure that the people of Michigan or the rest of the country are ready for another Muslim leader after Barack Hussein Obama.
According to Business Insider:
While El-Sayed said his Islamic values are at the center of his work as a civil servant, he wants people to know his number one priority is to serve the people of Michigan.
“My focus is, has always been, and will always be people,” El-Sayed said during his campaign announcement speech on Saturday. “My work has always been about building and leading the kinds of institutions that create opportunities for real people by breaking down the barriers that they face in their lives to being able to have the opportunity we want for my children. That work has never been more important than it is today.”
But some residents in the state may not be ready to see a Muslim governor. In the last several years, Michigan has been a hotbed of Islamophobia. Dearborn, a predominantly Arab-American city in the Detroit metro area, has been a frequent target of anti-Muslim activists, conspiracy theories, and fake news. But El-Sayed doesn’t want Michigan residents to be distracted by anti-Muslim rhetoric and violence — and he wants people to know that the principles of Islam are what guide his service.
“I am running because of the values my Islam teaches me — which includes beliefs in equity, the fundamental rights of all people, a belief that we will judge ourselves as a people based on how we treat the most vulnerable,” El-Sayed said. “A belief in being good to others fundamentally, a belief in respect and dignity to one’s neighbors and one’s friends and one’s family .”
In an effort to show how “tolerant and compassionate” he is, El-Sayed fills his Twitter account with these sorts of “inclusive” posts.

While that sounds all well and good in theory I am quite aware of how the religion of Islam really works, right?
I do not trust this man as far as I can throw him at all, and it is obvious that this is a Muslim takeover. The American people are sick and tired of this infiltration and the erosion of our American culture and are ready to fight back. El-Sayed may think that he can easily win this election, but I pray that the people of Michigan push back and stop him.
What do you think? Will El-Sayed win the election for governor? Sound off in the comments below!
