Dylan’s father posted a video to Facebook of his son sneaking into the living room and jumping on the couch, which was viewed over 500,000 times and quickly went viral.

Though the parents at first thought their son’s mischievous behavior was funny, they reenforced the rule and said their son knows his boundaries now that he’s been caught.

“I promise I won’t jump on the couches,” Dylan pledged.

The hilarious story went viral, with many expressing their amusement at the situation.

“Busted!” one Newsioisty reader commented on the site’s Facebook page.

Others felt that the boy was being disobedient, and that the parents should have reprimanded him.

“This kid is a total brat destined to be a juvenile delinquent,” one reader commented. “Probably too late to bring it under control.”

“Man, I would’ve got my ass beat for doing that,” another added on Inside Edition’s YouTube page. “If mom says no jumping that means NO JUMPING! Smh, did it once and I’ll learn my lesson and never do it again.”

In a similar story, a mother went viral after she posted a video of herself hiding from her children in a pantry, secretly eating candy.

“I mean my video was about being in the pantry eating a treat, and a lot of other moms identify with the fact of going to the bathroom for 30 seconds in peace which never happens,” Ashley Gardner told CNN after the video went viral. Gardner said her clip was meant to be humorous, though she said it “sums up motherhood in 34 seconds.”
