This is just awesome! What a way to start off Sunday. At an NHL hockey game, Joe Everson sang the National Anthem like no other… while painting a portrait of our boys raising the American flag on Iwo Jima. Talk about one of the best renditions and performances you’ll ever see… this guy wins the day.
The Toledo Walleye invited artist Joe Everson to perform the National Anthem before Saturday’s home game against the Brampton Beast. His singing was accompanied by a live canvas painting performance that left fans cheering. The fact that he was painting the picture upside down is even more remarkable. You’ve just got to watch it all the way through. I promise you will love it.
From Young Conservatives:
We’ve seen enough National Anthem protests the last few months alone to last a lifetime.
It may have started with San Francisco 49ers QB Colin Kaepernick, but there seems to be no end in sight.
Scores of high school kids and even performers have taken a knee during “The Star Spangled Banner,” too.
Who needs ’em?
After watching what this artist does while singing the anthem before the start of an NHL game you’ll forget about all those un-American nuts.
This is really awesome.
It’s a great way to kick off your Sunday.

You could already tell how patriotic the fans were at the hockey game, but this just set them ablaze. The crowd went wild. If you want to see more of Everson’s work, check out his personal website.
Joe’s singing voice is great and the way he sung the National Anthem was impressive. But the painting added heart-moving patriotism to the whole event. It was just… wow.
After being subjected to the likes of Colin Kaepernick and his Black Lives Matter bull crap, dissing America, cops and the military, this is a welcome change and very moving. All those NFL players, high school and grade school players… all those cheerleaders, band members and singers who seem to honor a group for their color and sign on to cop-hatred and disrespect for their country… might want to watch this video for a perspective adjustment.
This is the kind of love of country that real Americans love and honor. Joe Everson not only gave honor to America and her heroes, he honored all those hockey players there and didn’t grandstand for personal glory. That’s a man that I could call a friend.
