Caretaker Collapses Face First To The Ground, Then Elephant Springs Into Action

An elephant came to the rescue when his handler fell to the ground (video below).

Thongsri, a 17-year-old elephant from Thailand, thought his caretaker was being attacked and rushed in to help.

In actuality, the Thailand animal rescue handlers were playing around when Thongsri’s handler was knocked down on the grass by another caretaker, according to Little Things.

Thongsri started to charge at the co-worker who pushed his caretaker, prompting him to run away.

Seeing that the co-worker was gone, the elephant ran to his handler, knelt down on his front knees and carefully pulled him back up using his trunk.

The moment was captured on camera and shared on YouTube, quickly going viral with more than 10 million views.

“Elephants are smart enough to know violence against other species is wrong, especially to those who have a choice,” wrote on user.
