President Trump’s pen hasn’t stopped signing since the second he was sworn into office and now he just signed the pink slip to thousands of workers who definitely had it coming. It’s only a matter of time now before the riots fill several city streets over what’s perhaps one of his most important orders yet.
Immigrants weren’t prepared for the changes coming their way after Inauguration Day since they didn’t take Trump seriously. Now they’re learning the hard way that he meant what he said and is making good on those promises with a flurry of executive orders on immigration — the latest of which is to crack down on H-1b Visa abuse.
This visa program was first put into place to allow companies to bring immigrants in to fill jobs at a cheaper rate than what they would have to pay Americans. While the claim was that Americans didn’t want to do the jobs that they could get skilled immigrants to do, critics have contended that its true purpose was to cut production costs and increase profits by importing less-expensive workers, the Federalist Papers reported. That doesn’t sit well with Trump who knows business and is all about improving the economy while keeping citizens safe from immigrants coming on this loophole.
“Our country’s immigration policies should be designed and implemented to serve, first and foremost, the U.S. national interest,” Bloomberg reported of an initial raft of the order. “Visa programs for foreign workers … should be administered in a manner that protects the civil rights of American workers and current lawful residents, and that prioritizes the protection of American workers — our forgotten working people — and the jobs they hold.”
Trump is creating jobs for Americans first and pissing off liberals and immigrants every step of the way. The left can’t be too upset about it when they reap the rewards of the improved economy and get to live in a safer place because of all of these changes. Now, thousands of immigrants are out of a job and droves more won’t be able to get one unless they want to follow our rules and go about it the right way.
